Ischgl is a small village located in the Paznaun Valley at 1,377 metres above sea level in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

Ischgl is a different kind of alpine ski resort. If you are looking for a peaceful, bucolic site, a place to rest and enjoy staring at the sublime nature of the mountains, please don´t go to Ischgl. Here life is frenetic. People think and live in superlatives. In addition to action-packed winter sports, partying is another core activity.

Ischgl Ski Resort. Tirol. Skiing in Austria

Ischgl is a truly Ski Paradise in Tirol (Austria) with 239 km of perfectly groomed slopes, 45 lifts and guaranteed snow from November to the beginning of May, thanks to the ski resorts high elevation and 1,100 snowmaking guns.

The modern lifts managed by the Silvretta Seilbahn AG Company offer a high level of comfort.

Opened in January of 2014, with its 1,251 metres of difference in altitude, the 3-S Pardatschgratbahn in Ischgl is one of the biggest of its kind. The ascent from the valley up to the mountain station takes about nine minutes. A cable car of superlatives that forms the entry point to the Silvretta Arena together with the Fimbabahn and Silvrettabahn cable cars. All lifts are centrally located for easy access.

A variety of pistes (20 blue, 40 red, and 25 black) and ski routes offer a opportunity for everyone, from beginners to experts looking for challenging pistes. Eleven is the name of the longest piste with approximately 11 kilometres from the top of the ski resort in Greitspitz (2,872 metres) to Ischgl village (1,400 metres).

15 mountain restaurants and ski huts, with Tyrolean specialties or international dishes, will complete a perfect day of skiing in Ischgl.

From Ischgl you can access to the Silvretta Arena Ski Paradise, -the third-biggest ski area in Tirol-, thanks to an alliance between two Companies (SilvrettaSeilbahn AG and BergbahnenSammaun AG) and two ski resorts (Ischgl-Sammaun) from two different countries (Switzerland-Austria).

After a long ski day we highly recommend to pay a visit to the new spa and wellness facilities.

Since October 2022 the Silvretta spa is open to guests coming to Ischgl. The new spa not only sets new standards in terms of architecture – it also boasts some impressive highlights on the inside. Around 1,000 m2 of water surface of indoor and outdoor pools for swimming and relaxation, a 1,500-square-metre sauna area, a 320-square-metre gym, a wellness area with a vast choice of massages and cryotherapy treatments, event facilities for up to 600 people, and an ice rink that runs around the circumference of the building.

No matter which type of cuisine you want to try. In Ischgl you will find multiple toque-awarded restaurants, rustic mountain huts, cosy inns, pizzerias, and traditional restaurants. It is not without reason that Ischgl was named the absolute mecca for gourmets in Tyrol by the restaurant guide Gault&Millau and the gourmet magazine A la Carte.

Ischgl is well-known (and sometimes criticized) for its lively après-ski parties and roistering nightlife.
