Double Victory in Kitzbühel's Downhill for Beat Feuz

Two days after earning his first career win on the Streif, Beat Feuz added a second victory in Kitzbühel. It was Feuz's 12th career Alpine Ski World Cup Downhill win, level with countryman Didier Cuche and Kristian Ghedina. It was also his 38th World Cup Downhill podium, moving him into a tie for third all-time.

"Yes, it's very special, I've tried for five years to win in Kitzbühel on the Streif and finally I've done it two times this year, (...) I really enjoyed skiing on the Streif today", Feuz said.

Second place went to Johan Clarey, who Feuz bumped out of the lead after topping the Frenchman by 0.17 seconds. Clarey became the first 40-year-old to earn a podium on the Streif.

A victory would be better but I am behind the best downhiller of the past five years”, said Clarey, who has eight career podiums but has never won a World Cup race.

"I am in the best shape of my life at 40 years old. It's just incredible. I don't know how to explain it but I hope I can go on for the rest of the season and in the Championships", Clarey added.

Matthias Mayer, who won the race last year and came runner-up to Feuz on Friday, finished 0.38 behind in third.
