300 Snowmen For a Good Cause. A Supportive Public for St. Anton World Cup Races

Due to the current circumstances, the Arlberg Kandahar races in St. Anton am Arlberg will take place without spectators.

The organizers of this season's races are appealing to ski fans to act responsibly, do not travel to the venues, and watch the legendary races on TV to make sure the races can be held safely.

However, the organizers want to do something special for the occasion. So they have come up with something very special to create a friendly atmosphere on the one hand and to do something good on the other: children and young people from the region built at least 300 snowmen - each of them a unique specimen! The "icy fellows" are to drive the athletes at the two-speed races, the Downhill on January 9 and the Super-G on January 10, to top performances. At the same time these snowmen serve as „godfathers“ for a care project of the Caritas: For 100 euros, one can purchase a snowman sponsorship. In total at least 30,000 euros should be gained to support needy children in Africa. Interested snowman sponsors are welcome to contact schneemann@stantonamarlberg.com.
