The FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance is proud to confirm that the YETI Xtreme Verbier will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, where the 2026 FWT Champions will be crowned.
Set against the iconic Bec des Rosses, this final stop promises a spectacular conclusion to the season. The world’s best freeriders will face off in a high-stakes showdown where titles are decided.
Verbier is set for a full weekend of celebration as athletes, fans, and the global freeride community gather for this decisive moment. A total of 29 riders will drop into the Bec des Rosses, each aiming to deliver a career-defining performance.
With no clear favorites across categories, the competition remains wide open. The combination of pressure, technical challenge, and progressive riding ensures suspense from the first drop to the final run.
While results remain uncertain, one thing is guaranteed: an exceptional display of skill and commitment, both on the mountain and throughout the festivities in the village. Cable cars will exceptionally open at 7:30 AM.
The ultimate test: Bec des Rosses
Rising to 3,223 meters, the Bec des Rosses stands as freeride’s ultimate proving ground. With a 600-meter vertical drop and slopes reaching 51 degrees, it is the steepest and most demanding face on the FWT circuit.
Riders must navigate a complex mix of tight couloirs, exposed ridgelines, and massive cliffs, carefully selecting lines that blend technical precision with freestyle progression. At this level, only those who execute flawlessly under pressure will stand atop the podium.
For over 30 years, this mountain has defined freeride excellence. In 2026, a new generation will attempt to etch their names into its legacy.
The Freeride World Tour (FWT) is the premier big mountain freeskiing and snowboarding tour in the world, featuring the sport’s top athletes competing in the world’s best mountain resorts. Created in 2008, the FWT became even more global in 2012 following the union of the North American-based Freeskiing World Tour, The North Face Masters of Snowboarding, and the European-based Swatch Freeride World Tour.
FWT Management SA, based in Verbier, Switzerland, has been organizing world-class sports events in mountain resorts and regions since 1996.
