Lara Gut-Behrami raced a flawless line on the bottom half of the course to earn the victory by nearly one second.
It was her second consecutive World Cup Super-G win after winning the previous race in St. Anton. It is also her second podium this weekend after her second place on yesterday's second Downhill.
The 29-year-old racer scored her 28th career Alpine Ski World Cup victory and 14th win in Super-G.
Crans Montana is clearly a venue that suits Gut-Behrami as today was her third victory and fourth podium in the last two seasons at the Swiss ski resort.
Lara Gut has won now three World Cup super-G events in Switzerland: in St. Moritz in 2008 (first career World Cup win), in Lenzerheide in 2014, and in Crans Montana in 2021.
After today's victory Lara Gut leads the discipline's rankings with 245 points, overtaking teammate Corinne Suter.
“In Super-G when I feel great it makes everything easier, (...) Today I’m stiff but I had no pain. I’m lucky I have my body back and I again have confidence in my skiing", Gut said.
Austrian Tamara Tippler continued to impress this season, earning her second, second-place finish 0.93 seconds behind Gut.
That was the biggest winning margin in a women's Super-G since Lindsey Vonn's victory in Lake Louise in 2015 (1.32 seconds).
Italian Frederica Brignone rounded out the podium also earning her second super-G top-three finish of the season.
