Manuel Feller Wins Last Slalom of the Season

Manuel Feller closed the 2020-2021 World Cup season with a victory, winning the last slalom race of the season in Lenzerheide. He beats Clement Noel by a slim 0.08 seconds and Overall World Cup winner Alexis Pinturault by 0.11 seconds in a very tight race.

Despite finishing today in 6th position, Marco Schwarz wins the Slalom World Cup, the 1st globe in his career. He finished on the podium seven times in 11 races. Austrian skiers have won the men's slalom crystal globe a record 15 times (Sweden next on 11 wins).

This season, both Marco Schwarz (2 wins) and Manuel Feller (2) achieved their first World Cup wins in the slalom.

Seven different Austrian skiers have won this globe, also already a record (France next on 6 different winners).

"The whole season was pretty good for me. I'm feeling pretty happy and satisfied, (...) It's come step by step, we've trained pretty hard this season. I want to continue the good work in slalom and make the next step in Giant Slalom and maybe Super-G", Schwarz said.

This season, seven different skiers have claimed a World Cup win in the slalom.
