Delphine Darbellay, Livio Simonet, Andrea Ellenberger, and Fadri Janutin win the team competition at the World Cup final.
A young Swiss team surprisingly beats Austria in the Final. With the exception of Ellenberger, who had already competed in Beijing alongside Wendy Holdener, Gino Caviezel, and Justin Murisier and was eliminated in the quarter-finals, the Swiss team did not have any experienced skiers. Together, Simonet, Janutin, and Darbellay had five World Cup starts. For Darbellay it was even the first World Cup race ever.
It is the first time that Switzerland wins a team event at the World Cup Finals.
